Community Based Learning/Field Trips

We believe a student's educational experience is further enriched by 'doing.' Our goal is for the Lead Teacher to be able to meet with students and their families several times a year at a local destination. These multi-age level trips will enable the students to connect the experience with the concepts taught within their grade level curriculum.  Students will then select, create, and share a multi-media project that highlights what they learned from the experience. These projects will be shared on this website and on display in the iAcademy lab.

 Project ideas may include:

  • create a brochure
  • take a photo journey
  • record a video
  • design a t-shirt
  • design a postcard
  • paint a mural
  • make a filmstrip
  • make a clay model/sculpture
  • record a commercial
  • write and record a song
  • paint a painting
  • create a power point presentation
